Le Reflet du Lac reports: The Mayor and the Prefect extend an invitation to business people for a dinner event.

POLICY. The mayoress of Magog, Nathalie Pelletier, and the prefect of the MRC de Memphrémagog, Jacques Demers, will host a dinner for the business community which will take place on March 29, at the Théâtre Magog.

This event, entitled “The evening of the elected Memphremagog” is in fact a new version of the mayor’s supper, which had been established by the former first magistrate of Magog, Vicki-May Hamm. However, due to the pandemic, the current mayor Nathalie Pelletier had not yet had the chance to take part in this exercise.

What’s more, since then, the organizer of the evening, the Memphremagog Chamber of Commerce, has broadened its field of action by becoming the spokesperson for the entrepreneurial community for the entire region.

“Since we have become the chamber of commerce of the entire MRC and no longer just of Magog-Orford, it was obvious that we had to bring together both the mayor of our central city, Magog, as well as the prefect , says the president of the Memphremagog Chamber of Commerce, Louis Roy. It will be a politically flavored dinner as the two elected officials will talk about local issues and share their vision for the future. It will be a great opportunity for the entire business community to come together!”

The goal is to bring together a hundred people for this three-course dinner, which will begin at 6 p.m. The cost of tickets before taxes is $75 for members and $95 for non-members.
