Le Quesnoy / vaccination: elected officials lend a hand to the Quesnoy hospital

The Quesnoy hospital center and the municipality worked in close collaboration to facilitate the vaccination campaign.

As part of the vaccination campaign, the municipality of Quesnoy wished to help the hospital center of the fortified city. In two days, the elected officials called 350 Quercitains over 75 years old. And 70 people who did not have a telephone received a letter. The elected officials simply asked the citizens if they were vaccinated and if they wanted to be.

Once this information was collected, the municipality forwarded it to the hospital. “I asked the elected officials if they could take part in the census campaign, says Régine Delplanque, the director of the hospital. We only have one phone line and it quickly gets full. People are having difficulty contacting us. “

Thanks to the work of elected officials, the hospital center can now call each inhabitant. “They are offered an appointment within two weeks”, continue Régine Delplanque. People will be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.

For Marie-Sophie Lesne, the mayor of Quesnoy, it is quite possible to mobilize some of the municipal staff in the future. “We can do the same job again. The idea is to make the work of the hospital easier ”, launches the chosen one. Today, the hospital center has already vaccinated more than 1,300 people over 75 years of age or people at risk.
