Puy Foot 43 has set its sights on Grégoire Amiot (26) to replace him in the workforce. Born in Cholet, Amiot cut his teeth at Toulouse FC, then in Reims where he will discover Ligue 2 (12 matches) before joining Football Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas 01 in 2017. In Ain, he will assert himself at the second national level (34 appearances) then in National following the relegation of the club. It was then that he decided to fly to the Netherlands to discover the Dutch first division (Eredivise) with the club of Fortuna Sittard. After a 2019-2020 season in which he played around ten matches and notably faced Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV Eindhoven, he was loaned to Falkenbergs, a club in the Swedish elite. At the end of a season marked by relegation, he returned to the Netherlands and found himself without a club at the end of his contract this summer.
It is therefore a defender with a well-stocked CV who is making his return to France to strengthen the rearguard of Le Puy. Selected twenty times in the French U16, U17 and U18 teams, Grégoire Amiot intends to revive in Haute-Loire. The Ponots are currently 7th in their N2 pool.
