Founded by Alexandre Hamel in 2005, the company has stood out in recent years internationally with its innovative choreographic approach to skating – its creation Vertical Influences has been danced more than 250 times in 12 countries – and here she will present, at the invitation of the prestigious Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), her piece Influence on a unique and inclusive urban outdoor ice rink that BAM has developed jointly with the Prospect Park Alliance.
This ice rink is also a source of inspiration for Le Patin Libre, which is working on a large project of a refrigerated and ecological community ice rink-theater in the Hochelaga district, which it hopes will materialize in 2022.
The trip to New York will involve a total of three weeks in quarantine for the troop and numerous tests for COVID-19.
