Le Matin – The National Commission for Education, Science and Culture approves its 2021 action plan and budget

The National Commission for Education, Science and Culture approved, Thursday during the ordinary session of its general assembly, the moral and financial reports for the current year, its action plan and its draft budget for the year 2021. This session, which took place by videoconference, was chaired by the Head of Government, Saad Dine El Otmani, and Saaïd Amzazi, President of the National Commission and Minister of National Education, vocational training, higher education and scientific research, spokesperson for the government. According to a statement from the Commission, Mr. El Otmani praised the central role played by this structure, by linking the communication bridges between government departments and national bodies, with Unesco, Isesco and Alecso, specialized in the fields of education, culture, sustainable development, communication, youth and sport. Speaking at the opening of the Assembly, which was attended by ministers and a number of guests, he also praised the efforts made to give the committee a new dynamic and to engage effectively in programs and activities sponsored by the three organizations, calling on the ministerial departments and bodies represented on the Commission to place at its disposal all the human and financial resources which will enable it to carry out its functions in the most appropriate circumstances. For his part, Mr. Amzazi affirmed that the Commission will proceed with the accomplishment of the missions entrusted to it, appreciating the positive results which he obtained recently.
According to the press release, the opening session was marked by the interventions of the Director General of Isesco, Salem Ben Mohammed Almalek, of the Assistant Director General of Unesco for Africa, Fermin Edouard Matoko, and the Director of Arabization coordination office under Unesco, Abdelfattah Lahjomri, who all praised the work of the National Commission and underlined the great confidence that these organizations place in it, being an essential partner in its programs and activities. This session also saw the official launch of the Commission’s electronic site which will be adopted, alongside its official pages on social networks, as a communication mechanism with the public and partners to strengthen its influence.
