Former French player Eric Abidal has been sacked from his post as sporting director of FC Barcelona, the Catalan club announced in a statement on Tuesday, one day after dismissing coach Quique Setién from his post.
“FC Barcelona and Eric Abidal have reached an agreement to terminate the contract between them. The club wishes to publicly thank Eric Abidal for his professionalism, his commitment, his dedication (…)”, indicated the Catalan club in a statement.
