They have not yet crossed the doors of the college, but have already landed a price at the very prestigious Angoulême comic book festival. Lise and Cassandra, CM2 students at the Sacré-Coeur school, at Havre (Seine-Maritime), learned this month of June 2021 that they were winners of the Petit Fauve d’or, in the category of 9/10 years, of the school comic book.
“A big surprise” but above all a great pride for their teacher, who offered them to participate in the competition at the initiative of a plastic arts teacher from the college. “This comic book is really the work of the children: I gave them time, but for the rest, I didn’t have much to do with it, they did everything independently,” she insists.
A story with a message
The result ? A little story of two boards, illustrated, and above all carrying a nice message. Under the pencil of Cassandra, a budding designer who explains that she “worked mostly at home, where I have a lot of drawing material”, the characters, the decor and all the details of a scenario imagined by Lise were born.
Smile mask, “It’s kind of my story,” explains the young girl. When I was little, I hid my scar with my hair, I was a little ashamed. “Like the heroine of their adventure, she finally gained confidence thanks to those around her,” and now that doesn’t bother me anymore. “
