They have not yet crossed the doors of the college, but have already landed a price at the very prestigious Angoulême comic book festival. Lise and Cassandra, CM2 students at the Sacré-Coeur school, at Havre (Seine-Maritime), learned this month of June 2021 that they were winners of the Petit Fauve d’or, in the category of 9/10 years, of the school comic book.
“A big surprise” but above all a great pride for their teacher, who offered them to participate in the competition at the initiative of a plastic arts teacher from the college. “This comic book is really the work of the children: I gave them time, but for the rest, I didn’t have much to do with it, they did everything independently,” she insists.
A story with a message
The result ? A little story of two boards, illustrated, and above all carrying a nice message. Under the pencil of Cassandra, a budding designer who explains that she “worked mostly at home, where I have a lot of drawing material”, the characters, the decor and all the details of a scenario imagined by Lise were born.
Smile mask, “It’s kind of my story,” explains the young girl. When I was little, I hid my scar with my hair, I was a little ashamed. “Like the heroine of their adventure, she finally gained confidence thanks to those around her,” and now that doesn’t bother me anymore. “

The boards of the two young girls will be exhibited during the next edition of the festival. An event to which their teacher hopes, perhaps, to be able to take them.
