La Machinerie L3-1058579 presents: Creation Cie Dyptik (Saint-Étienne) Danse Biennale de La Danse In this danced fiction, the authors-choreographers tell us about this new post-pandemic era, known as the Aftermath, full of hope and of momentum towards a rebirth. Bodies and minds are more still than ever, under pressure and isolated. Social tension is maximum: between climate crisis, overconsumption and threatening wars, constrained bodies are on the verge of implosion. The ways of life and work make us forget this vital need for movement and human contact. As a result of this context, a new disease is about to emerge: Dance Fever, strangely reminiscent of the mysterious illness that seized part of the people of Strasbourg at the beginning of the 16th century. A dance fever, expression of revolt or intoxication in a harmful daily life or the metaphor of a common despair of a people in distress… Dance and music are here liberating bodies, in a ceremony between light and darkness, finding its peak in a collective trance.
