Fabcaro’s brilliant novel, “Le Discours”, is adapted and performed on stage by Simon Astier, a great success! Adriano is 40 years old. Today he is having dinner at his parents’ house with his sister and Ludo, his future brother-in-law, who asks him to give a speech for their wedding. Adrien yes, we don’t expect a simple speech from him, we expect something “wonderful” from him. He finds himself invested with a messianic gesture on which the quality of a ceremony elaborated for months rests. But that’s not all, he sent a text message to his ex, Sonia, with whom he has been on “hiatus” for three weeks … Simon Astier adapts this novel to the stage with his own sensitivity, while remaining faithful to that of Fabcaro’s themes. The register of emotions emerges in the actor’s performance, it is so tender, disillusioned and hilarious. “Le Discours” is a tough single that won’t leave you indifferent!-
