If the hospital is not necessarily a place appreciated by ordinary mortals, some games have made it their trademark.
Many horrific adventures have chosen to take place outdoors or in very ordinary environments. Conversely, others prefer to use the psychological fear that a health facility can generate, especially in a horror game! Here is a selection of five survival-horrors taking place in a hospital…
#1 Outlast
Terrifying and creepy, Outlast comes to life in the notorious Mount Massive Asylum: a building housing the worst of humanity, from monstrous creatures to murderous inhabitants. From then on, you will have to find a way to survive and escape from this madness that will continue to eat away at you.
#2 Silent Hill: Homecoming

#4 Call of Cthulhu
Suffering from a terrible injury, you will be taken to the Riverside Institute. Supposed to take care of your health, rather, the staff will drug you and leave you in a delirious state until you encounter some of your worst anxieties. A very grueling adventure…
#5 Tormented Souls
Here, Winterlake Hospital looks like a clever mix between Resident Evil’s Spencer Manor and the inevitably creepy atmosphere of Silent Hill 2. This abandoned building hides many dark secrets, as well as a slew of occupants intent on impaling you in every corner of the corridors.
