TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Jakarta Legal Aid (LBH) lawyer Charlie Albajili asked DKI Governor Anies Baswedan to replace Governor Regulation No. 207 of 2016 concerning Control of Land Use/Control without Entitled Permits signed by former Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok.
This Pergub was signed by the former Governor of DKI Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok on October 24, 2016.
According to Charlie, Pergub 207/2016 is the legal basis for the ranks Anies Baswedan to displace residents throughout 2017-2019.
The governor’s regulation, he said, must be replaced with more humanistic regulations.
“Otherwise, he (Anies Baswedan) is the same as letting the eviction issue in Jakarta,” he said at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 18, 2021.
LBH Jakarta noted eviction occurred in 79 points during January-September 2018. A total of 277 family heads and 864 business units became victims of eviction. Then the DKI government evicted at 91 points in January-September 2017.
Lawyer LBH Jakarta, Jeanny Silvia Sari Sirait, added that forced evictions in the Anies era were experienced by many street vendors, abbreviated as PKL. He said that this eviction was not like before, which tended to target residential residents.
“The eviction process that took place departed from Pergub 207/2016 that the Satpol PP could ask for assistance to carry out the eviction and it happened,” he explained about the old Pergub which was signed Ahok while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta.
