Lazio, high prices for Olimpico tickets. Lotito makes a mistake – Il Tempo

Louis Solomon

It is difficult to understand what the strategy is behind the pricing policy implemented by Lazio this season. The stadium was full on May 28th to celebrate the return to the Champions League, those 65,000 cheering fans remain a point of arrival, not a starting point unfortunately. The season ticket prices were in line with the other clubs even though they increased (reaching 30,300), it is understandable that the Lazio players would have to pay a high bill for the European matches (in the end there were only 45,000 against Atletico Madrid) but the choices about the championship deserve reflection. With three consecutive matches at the Olimpico, cup, Monza and Turin, charging a curve or distinct where you can hardly see it, 40 euros is a risky move that also destroys the Provedel effect.

Provedel performs a miracle: equalizer with a header at the last second. Lazio catches Atletico again

Unless Claudio Lotito’s plan is to have fewer people in the stadium. A Tevere at 60 euros for a match on Wednesday is a sensational mistake, as is the Monte Mario at 75 euros (these are the lowest prices for these sectors). At this rate, we will not reach more than 6-7 thousand paying customers which, added to the 30,000 subscribers, will bring the average down significantly compared to 2022-2023. In any case, Lotito did not accept discussions, he decided and against Monza and Turin he will have a half-empty stadium. Bah!
