Likely to miss the next 2-3 games
The national team doctors are monitoring the player who will most likely have to stay in Africa for treatment. Malaria usually recovers in two weeks and, therefore, it is likely that Dia will have to miss at least the next two home matches with Lazio, the one on 24 November in the league against Bologna and the one on the 28th, in the Europa League, against the Bulgarians Ludogorets. He will need to be monitored in view of the away match in Parma on 1 December while it appears much more likely, if things go as well as possible, that he will be available for the Coppa Italia match on 5 December at the Olimpico against Napoli.
