According to a media report, Kepa Arrizabalaga from club world champions FC Chelsea is to become the new number one in goal for Lazio Rome in the coming season. Again Corriero dello Sport reports, the 27-year-old Spaniard is the preferred candidate of the sky blue.
At Lazio, former Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has been in charge since last summer, which caused a scandal in 2019. The Serie A club should also have some alternatives up their sleeves with Sergio Rico (Paris Saint-Germain), Marco Carnesecchi (Atalanta Bergamo) and Pierluigi Gollini (Atalanta Bergamo).
Chelsea: Kepa played a crucial role against Liverpool
Kepa has been at Chelsea since 2018 but lost his regular spot to Edouard Mendy. He’s only made four appearances this season.

In one of his few games for Chelsea, Kepa recently played an important role: in the final of the Carabao Cup, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel replaced the penalty specialist shortly before the end of extra time.

In the shootout, however, Kepa parried none of Liverpool’s eleven attempts and also missed his own penalty – which gave coach Jürgen Klopp’s team victory.
Kepa, who once cost €80m to join Stamford Bridge from Athletic Club, is under contract in London until 2025.
