Lazio beat Juventus in the second leg of the Italian Cup semi-final at home, but the visitors are celebrating their progress. The home team managed to make up for the 2-goal loss from the first match. Unfortunately, at the end of the duel, Arkadiusz Milik struck and sent Juventus to the final.
The home coach allowed himself to put Giro Immobile only on the substitutes’ bench for the match, and Taty Castellanos started in the starting line-up. Experienced central midfielder Matias Vecino also sat on the bench.
The best that coach Massimiliano Allegri has at his disposal took to the field in the Old Lady jerseys. The only change against the league matches was Mattia Perin in goal, who as usual stepped in for the cup match.
Lazio stepped up to make up for the loss in the 12th minute. Castellanos pounced on Luis Alberto’s well-taken corner kick and headed it past Perino. Alex Sandro, who defended the Argentine in a personal fight, did not resist at all, rather he did not participate in the fight at all.

In the 43rd minute, Castellanos rushed at Perina all by himself and could have tied the game, but the Italian goalkeeper made a great save. The Argentinian striker saved the 2nd goal until the 48th minute, when Alberto sent him into the same situation and this time he made no mistake.
Since then, there was practically only one team on the field. Juventus created several great opportunities, but especially Vlahovič threw away the impossible in the match.
The guests hid the answer until the 82nd minute. Timothy Weah’s missed shot turned into a perfect pass for Milik and the Polish striker sent Juventus into the Italian Cup final from the small area.
