Layla Law-Gisiko, a Frenchwoman who is committed to New York

Layla Law-Gisiko was born in Paris, of a French father and a Tunisian mother. Armed with a master’s degree in French literature and journalism, she arrived in New York at age 25 to find new opportunities. She then travels across the United States and produces and directs documentaries on various issues, often social.

She entered politics in 2005, joining the Community Board of his district of Manhattan (Community Councils of the City of New York). Invested in this fight and supported by the citizens of her adopted city, Layla Law-Gisiko now covets the Democratic primary nomination for theNew York State Assembly. Composed of 150 seats provided for two years, the assembly of the State of New York is the lower house of the legislature of the American State of New York, its seat is in the Capitol located in Albany.
