Lawyers take the Public Prosecution Service to court for violating the right of nondisclosure | Financial

Reporter Bart Mos was present in the court of Den Bosch. Read his twitter report of the summary proceedings below the article.

The tax investigation service FIOD and the Public Prosecution Service are said to have read, copied and used more than three thousand confidential e-mail messages between Box Consultants and its lawyers at Stibbe for their investigation. According to Stibbe, these violations of the right of nondisclosure of lawyers involved a ‘persistent and customary working method’ of the Public Prosecution Service.

Royal family

The summary proceedings in Den Bosch are the next step in a lingering legal conflict between Stibbe and the Public Prosecution Service, following the investigation into asset manager Box, who has been suspected of money laundering and forgery since 2015.

The research is spicy, as Box invests billions of euros in savings from the ultra-rich. For example, they manage the assets of several members of the royal family, including the princesses Irene and Margriet. In addition, their customer list includes children from department store families Vroom and Dreesmann, former World Online top woman Nina Storms and a large number of other wealthy Dutch people.
