The lawyers’ strike, which has been going on since November 4 in protest against the lathicharge in the District Judge’s court on October 29, continued for the seventh day on Monday. The lawyers, adamant on their demand for removal of District Judge Anil Kumar, blocked the road outside the court in the afternoon. Seeing the traffic jam caused by their protest which lasted for two hours from 12 to 2 o’clock, the police diverted the route. While going back to the court at 2 o’clock on Tuesday, the lawyers announced to burn the effigy of the District Judge.

Bar Association President Deepak Sharma said that on Tuesday, the bars of 22 districts included in the West Uttar Pradesh High Court Bench Establishment Struggle Committee have decided to protest against the lathicharge. Just as lawyers took to the streets in Ghaziabad on Monday, similarly they will take to the streets in all the districts on Tuesday.

Bar Secretary Amit Nehra said that not only will the strike continue until the District Judge is removed but the movement will continue to expand. A Mahapanchayat has been called on November 16 to decide its strategy. Lawyers from UP, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab will be included in this.

Registration will be done in Tehsil from today

Property registration work will start from Tuesday in the registration offices located in Sadar Tehsil. Apart from this, there will be no judicial work of any kind. This decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of Tehsil Bar Association on Monday. Association President Yogesh Tyagi said that the deeds will be done from Tuesday but the lawyers will not do judicial work. In such a situation, he will not appear in the court in revenue related cases. Registry work was stopped for a week due to the strike. Secretary Arun Chaudhary, advocate Ashok Kumar Verma and others were present during the strike on Monday.
