EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- On the 158th anniversary of the Restoration, the president of the National District Section of the Dominican Republic Bar Association (CARD), Yudelka Laureano, thanked the president of the Constitutional Court, Milton Ray on Monday Guevara, and the director of the Center for Constitutional Studies, María Elena Vásquez, for the support provided to the union in this administration.
“The Restoration has to do with the renewal of our understanding through study, training, updating the aspects of Law, which are so broad and that, like society itself, are not static, they are changing as to the advancement of humanity ”, he affirmed.
Laureano expressed his deep and wide appreciation for giving the members of the section a wide variety of books on the constitutional subject donated by the high court, which come to strengthen the academic education and training of the lawyers of the National District.
The union leader stressed that this initiative of the Constitutional Court joins the six diploma courses organized by the DN section since he assumed the Presidency, including the two most recent that are in force, the Labor issue and the Administrative Law.
“In the National District, the lawyers continue with continuous education, because we are convinced that knowledge is power, to practice a profession at the level required by the new times,” he said.
He explained that the “Labor Diploma” takes place in person, every Saturday, from 9:00 in the morning to 12:00 noon, at the headquarters of the Dominican Association of Lawyers (ADOMA), while the Administrative Law, It takes place virtually on Mondays, from 7:00 to 9:00 at night, with the participation of more than 100 members of the CARD.
He pointed out that he will continue with this training effort, raising the values of the union, as he has done with the previous diplomas on Tax Law, Criminal Litigation, The Execution Routes, Real Estate and Registry Law, in addition to the virtual conferences Mortgage and its Legal Effects, Types of Most Requested Visas and its Basic Procedures.-
