Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) held a Hand Arrest Operation (THERE) in Surabaya, East Java, Thursday (19/1).
From the results of the OTT, the KPK arrested a lawyer, a judge and one clerk at the Surabaya District Court.
“It’s true, Wednesday, January 20, 2022, the KPK carried out arrests in Surabaya, East Java. In this activity, the KPK has arrested 3 people so far,” said Plt. Spokesperson for KPK Enforcement, Ali Fikri, Wednesday (20/1).
The spokesman with a prosecutor’s background said that the arrest was made on suspicion of bribery in a case at the Surabaya District Court.
However, Ali has not disclosed the identities of the three people involved in the silent operation.
“It consists of the Registrar and a lawyer who is suspected of being involved in a corruption crime of giving and receiving money related to a case at the Surabaya District Court,” added Ali.
Anti -corruption agencies have 1×24 hours to determine the legal status of the arrested parties as stipulated by the Criminal Code.
“KPK is still examining the arrested parties,” he concluded.
