This Wednesday an event occurred that altered the tranquility of the citizens in Santa Marta. The lawyer Ricardo Gutiérrez was the victim of an attack when he was traveling in his vehicle on the Avenida Ferrocarril, near the facilities of the commercial Sena.

According to preliminary versions, the lawyer was approached by two men on a motorcycle who intimidated him to attempt on his life. “Your quarter of an hour is up, let’s get you” were the words of the alleged hitmen. However, Gutiérrez activated his firearm to prevent the subjects from ending their existence, who immediately fled the scene.
Ricardo Gutiérrez, who is also a representative of the District’s drivers union, has been receiving death threats in recent days due to his work with public transport drivers, but ensures that the authorities have not yet done anything about it despite having knowledge of the case.
“They gave me an ultimatum for life. Well, I had to withdraw the processes that I am carrying out against the public transport companies or not, they were attempting against my life and proof of this, what happened today ”, said the lawyer.
