Lawyer Regrets Case of Alleged Sexual Harassment of Ferdy Sambo’s Wife Like Drowning

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The family lawyer for the inactive Head of the Profession and Security Division (Kadiv Propam) Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Arman Hanis, regrets that the alleged sexual harassment case against Sambo’s wife, Putri Candrawathi, seems to have almost drowned.

He said the alleged sexual harassment by Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J to Putri was covered by other issues.

“All the existing issues make the alleged crime of sexual violence drowned by all the existing issues. Even though this country we love adheres to just and civilized humanitarian principles,” Arman said in his statement, Sunday (31/7/2022) .

Arman said, basically, women are vulnerable to being victims of criminal acts of sexual violence (TPKS).

According to him, the alleged TPKS case should be brought forward regardless of the victim. Even a general’s wife can become a victim.

Therefore, Arman felt lucky because Putri was able to survive because there was a figure of Richard Eliezer or Bharada E at the time of the incident.

So, said Arman, Putri survived even though she was traumatized.

“That what happened to our client at this time must be believed until proven otherwise,” he said.

However, if what Putri reported to the police proved to be true, then what Brigadier J did was an insult and a grave crime.

“And if the allegations are proven at a later date, then victim J is not only PC. But Inspector General FS, the future of their children (4 people), PC’s parents, Bharada E and the National Police institution,” said Arman.
