Lawyer “Leopardo”, accused of shooting two people – Nationals

According to the police report, the incident occurred yesterday, Saturday, at 11:30 in a house located in Ursicino Velazco and San Martín de Porres, Bañado Tacumbú area. The victims were Jonhatan Fabián Díaz Chávez (19), who received a wound in the area of ​​the left eyebrow, and Marcos Luis Núñez (23), who received a glancing bullet in his left thigh.

The alleged perpetrator was identified as Venancio Valentín Domínguez Gómez (32), who is better known as the “Leopardo lawyer”, because he always wears flashy suits in the judicial strata.

Around 11:45 a.m., a neighbor called 911 and reported that Domínguez fired firearms at the two young men. According to the story, the lawyer was with two men aboard a white Hilux pickup, with AABN 684 plate. Presumably, upon reaching the aforementioned house, they got out and entered to commit the act and quickly flee.

Both wounded were assisted and transferred aboard the patrol boat from the aforementioned police headquarters to the General Hospital of Barrio Obrero for their medical attention and were discharged on the same day, because the injuries were not serious.

Officer Óscar Delvalle reported that, when intervening in the incident, the young man who was hit by a bullet in the leg assured that it was an accident. He said that he was handling a 22mm caliber weapon and that a bullet escaped that hit his leg, hit the ground and ricocheted off his friend.

The Second Police Station agent pointed out that the casing found in the area is a 9 mm caliber, which was very striking because the bullet that was stolen from the victim’s head was a 22 mm caliber.

Núñez was subjected to a nitrite and nitrate test to confirm whether he actually fired the shot.

For his part, Díaz Chávez also affirmed the same as the neighbors: that it was the lawyer “Leopardo”, who is a neighbor of the area, who attacked them.

The officer Delvalle reported that – according to the version of the neighbors – the lawyer Domínguez went to the house to try to recover the cell phone that was stolen. This version coincides with the fact that the day before the police officers from the same police station crossed paths with him and he mentioned that a little boy stole his iPhone, even though he did not formalize any complaint.

The police officers tried to listen to the defendant’s version, but they did not find him at his home or at his parents’.
