La Ceja laments tonight the death of the lawyer and politician Jorge Turbay Ceballos, COVID-19 takes a new victim in the land of bicycles and flowers.
Turbay, a renowned criminal lawyer from Antioquia, was president of the Liberal Party in Antioquia, a former deputy and candidate for the House of Representatives. He was also one of the most renowned criminal lawyers in Antioquia.
Turbay Ceballos was married to the dentist Dora Lopera with whom he had three children. He was an active member of the campaign of the current mayor, Nelson Carmona, who mourned the death of the political leader tonight.
“Unfortunately the Covid today hits our family. Jorge Turbay leaves for eternity and leaves an immense void in our family. To dora our aunt, to her children Samuel, Eduardo and Mariana God give them strength and a lot of faith to move forward. Our prayers with them ”, wrote Mayor Nelson Carmona on his social networks.
