A lawyer from the Prahova Bar was detained by the prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Ploieşti Court of Appeal, after she bought weapons from eMag for her minor children aged 7 and 10, the eldest using them daily to shoot birds, reports Agerpres.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the PCA, the prosecutors, together with police officers from the Arms, Explosives and Dangerous Substances Services of the Prahova County Police Inspectorate and the Dâmboviţa County Police Inspectorate, carried out two house searches in Măgurele, Prahova County. at the residences of persons suspected of committing the crimes of qualified smuggling and non-compliance with the arms and ammunition regime.
“In the case, the prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Ploieşti Court of Appeal ordered the initiation of the criminal action against the defendant PED – a lawyer at the Prahova Bar Association (…). In fact, it was held that the defendant acquired without right through through the eMAG Market platform, from a legal entity in Poland, a non-lethal air sports shooting weapon, caliber 4.5 mm, subject to authorization according to Romanian legislation and which was illegally introduced into Romania through a courier company at the beginning of February 2023, a weapon that he possessed without right until 07.06.2023”, the quoted source says.

Also, at the defendant’s residence, three other weapons and related ammunition were identified during the searches, namely a pistol with the inscription H8R SUPERMAGNUM caliber 6 mm, loaded with a gas cylinder, a brown rifle with the inscription Made in China, a black scoped rifle with the inscription THETA8X series 3-9×32, a bag with the inscription Perfect Spherical Ball Pellet, containing several white plastic balls, caliber 6 mm, as well as 34 unconsumed UMAREX CO2 cylinders 12 Mr.
“Investigations revealed that all four weapons were purchased by the defendant with the sole purpose of being used by her two minor children aged 7 and 10. During the search, the weapons and ammunition were found left at handy on a table in the garage of the defendant PED’s residential building, without being secured in any way. The defendant’s son, the minor PDN, aged 10, used them daily, without the right and without a minimum of instruction, shooting with they are birds near the house”, say the investigators.
The prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Ploiesti Court of Appeal ordered the measure of detention against the defendant, for a period of 24 hours.
