The Bab Sharqi Prosecution Office in Alexandria, under the supervision of Counselor Mohamed Abdel Salam, the first general attorney for the Alexandria Appeals Prosecution Office, is investigating the incident of finding the body of a lawyer inside his office in a property in the Al-Hadra area in the center of the governorate, to determine whether or not there is a criminal suspicion behind the death.
The Public Prosecution ordered the assignment of forensic experts to inspect the site of the accident and remove any traces therein, and the forensic doctor was assigned to perform an autopsy and determine the cause of death, and assigned the investigations to quickly conduct the necessary investigations, examine the relations of the deceased, and unload the surveillance cameras surrounding the accident.
The security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate had received a report from residents stating that the body of a lawyer had been found inside his office in the aforementioned property in the New Hadara area under mysterious circumstances.
The department officers, accompanied by an ambulance, moved to the site of the report, and the examination revealed that the body of the person called “M.M.,” a lawyer, was found hanging with a rope from an “iron stake” on the ceiling of one of the office rooms. The statements of eyewitnesses and the family of the deceased are being heard and the surveillance cameras are being examined.
A team from the Bab Sharqi Prosecution Office went to the site of the accident to inspect it and found that the body of the deceased was lying on the floor of one of the office rooms after it had been taken down by the police. Upon examining it, it was found that it was that of a young man in his thirties, with a “grievous wound” around the neck, and there were no other visible injuries. .
Upon questioning the witnesses, one of them decided that he discovered the incident this morning when he came to the deceased’s office according to a prior agreement with him to carry out a certain legal procedure. When he entered, he found the body hanging from the ceiling. He called the neighbors for help and called the police for help.
The Deputy Public Prosecutor ordered that the body of the deceased be transported to the ambulance morgue, that the forensic doctor be assigned to conduct the autopsy, that the rope used in hanging be seized and sent to forensic medicine, and that fingerprints be removed from the scene of the accident.
