Santo Domingo.- The lawyer of the woman who can be seen in a video threatening a taxi driver with a firearm, after allegedly wanting to overcharge him, stated that the gun used by the lady in question was a toy, despite the fact that the lady identified as Carmen Delia Acevedo had stated on video that the gun belonged to her boyfriend, who is also a military man.
Rafael Guzmán declared that his client uses the toy pistol with which he threatened the taxi driver Edwin de Jesús Lora “to scare away the robbers.”
It is recalled that the driver identified as Edwin de Jesus Lora, He recorded the event with his cell phone and published the video through his social networks, in which you can see how the woman keeps a gun in her hand and points it at him and at the tires of his vehicle. The graphic material made by the taxi driver was quickly distributed until it reached the news media.
After the video went viral on social networks and in the media, the taxi driver assured that the event occurred because the lady had refused to pay him for the full service.
However, this version has been refuted both by Mrs. Delia Acevedo and by her legal representative.
