Lawyer Dennis Billy Herrera Arita, included by the United States on the Engel List of “corrupt and undemocratic” actors, will obtain Q200,000 from the National Motorcycle Federation, to which he provides professional services.

The National Motorcycle Federation made the contract under the argument that it has legal processes to resolve and because it is necessary “to have the services of a legal advisor who can guide and support the Executive Committee and Management.”
The entity did not disclose the way in which it chose the professional who should assist them in these issues, but the documents reviewed by Prensa Comunitaria detailed that it was Juan Pablo Barrientos Urízar, president of the entity, who made the request to obtain a lawyer. .

However, by the time Herrera Arita began collaborating with the institution, he had already been sanctioned by the United States, which withdrew his visa due to his possible connection to the rigging of the election of the current judicial magistrates.
The United States Department of State accuses him of undermining democratic processes by participating in the Parallel Commissions 2020 case, so that the courts of the Judicial Branch were occupied by “corrupt judges.”
As part of the investigations of that case, the Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Impunity (FECI) of Juan Francisco Sandoval told him to operate, together with former judge Mynor Moto, so that the file on the irregularities in the election of the robes did not continue in the High Risk Court “D”.
However, the lawyer denounced the investigators of the file, who were criminalized by the Public Ministry (MP) of Consuelo Porras. In contrast, Herrera Arita is free and receiving money from the State.
Security
Herrera Arita also benefited from police security, after the Public Ministry requested it because the lawyer said he was the target of threats, although he did not present evidence about what he claimed (as required by the attorney general).
