The lawyer and politician Cándido Ochoa Rojas died after health complications, as confirmed this morning by the state government.
Ochoa Rojas was a criminal lawyer and secretary general of the government during the six-year term of Fernando Toranzo Fernández.
He also served as federal deputy in the LXII Legislature (2015-2018) and local legislator in the LXII Legislature (2018-2021).
Between 2009 and 2011 he was state attorney general and also taught at the Law School, among other activities that were part of his curriculum.
The former official had suffered from cancer, although it is still unknown if this influenced his death.
Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona expressed his condolences on the death of Ochoa Rojas through social networks.
