The lawyer and former deputy Kirio Waldo Salgado Mina, died this Saturday according to a relative reported on the Twitter social network.
One of his nephews, José Luis Cristales, confirmed to this medium the death of the former deputy of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLD). “The information is true, Don Kirio’s daughter-in-law confirmed it to me, they were kidney complications.” Salgado would have died at approximately 9:30 in the morning.

The 78-year-old Salgado spent the last ten years analyzing political reality as part of Grupo Megavisión’s team of panelists, in addition to dedicating himself to being an evangelical pastor after his conversion in 1997 within the Josué Church.
Salgado is also remembered as a leader of the Salvadoran Football Federation (Fesfut) in the 1970s.
His Catholic parents named him Kirio in honor of the Portuguese Quirio Cataño, who sculpted the Black Christ of Esquipulas.
The lawyer’s death has generated reactions from social media users, journalists, and government officials.
One of them was the director of INDES, Yamil Bukele: “I just found out about the death of Mr. Kirio Waldo Salgado and, although I did not have the honor of meeting him in person, I was always grateful that he believed in my work as a sports leader.
I will continue fighting for the benefit of the great family of national sport, Don Kirio, “he wrote on his Twitter account.
