Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Ahmad Sahroni, suspected the actions of Adam Deni uploading his bicycle purchase documents is an attempt to extort. Adam Deni’s lawyer, Herwanto, asked Sahroni to report any blackmail.
“If there is extortion, it is absolutely blackmail. If there is extortion, why don’t you report the extortion. So, as legal counsel, we can prove it to the court for extortion or not,” Herwanto told reporters, Monday (7/3/2022).
Herwanto asked Sahroni as a member of the DPR RI to be wise in giving statements. Because according to him Sahroni has reported Adam Deni with other suspected criminal acts, namely uploading documents without rights.
“Pak Sahroni is an official, after all, he is a representative of the DPR, a member of the DPR RI, a Deputy of Commission III of the DPR RI, I think he should issue a statement that is wise. Because he will have already reported the case, which case is about uploading electronic documents or electronic information without rights. So if he feels there is an allegation of blackmail, why not just report it, “he said.
“Although he said the allegation of extortion, but I think it is unwise for an official to cast prejudice,” he continued.
Herwanto assesses that his client is an active person in commenting on various cases. So, according to him, there is an impression that Adam Deni often extorts money.
“Because Adam Deni means he is active in any case, now because he is currently opposite, for example with Ahmad Sahroni, news emerged that Adam Deni was considered blackmailing,” he said.
Sahroni Says Adam Deni wants to blackmail
Previously, Ahmad Sahroni suspected that Adam Deni wanted to blackmail himself by posting his bicycle purchase documents. Sahroni then responded with legal steps against Adam Deni.
“Allegedly to blackmail me, Adam Deni and Olsen,” said Sahoni told reporters, Monday (7/3/2022).
To note, the figure of Olsen was called Adam Deni in his apology to Ahmad Sahroni. Olsen, called Adam Deni, is the woman who ordered the posting of Ahmad Sahroni’s documents.
Sahroni does not yet know how much of Adam Deni’s plan is allegedly to blackmail him. This is because Sahroni took swift legal action for disturbing his privacy and there were allegations of blackmail.
“It’s not implied but there is a direction to it (money extortion),” he said.
