Ledger reporter Jimmy Mac Arthur wants to write about an article about Olivia Benson. The police chief having given him carte blanche, Jimmy follows Olivia when she goes to a crime scene near Central Park. Heba Salim, a young Muslim woman of Indian origin, was raped in the park by two white men who insulted her. The rape kit is positive, but it turns out that the young woman was not raped in Central Park. Jimmy screams the Ledger’s front page hoax and accuses Heba of lying and not being assaulted. But the special unit team discovers that the young woman has, in fact, been raped in the office of Elias Kemp, her brother’s manager. Elias Kemp and his partner, Mike Sullivan, then claim that Heba had consensual intercourse with them. Olivia pushes the young woman to testify against them, while fearing that Heba is already discredited in the eyes of the jurors who have all read the articles of Jimmy Mac Arthur.
