A maid working in a luxury hotel accuses a client of raping her in the presidential suite. This Italian politician is the secretary general of the World Economic Fund and all polls indicate that he could become the next head of the Italian government. He was arrested aboard the plane that was to bring him back to Italy. Then he is taken to the hospital for examinations and then he is charged. The judge sends him in preventive detention in Rikers, but his lawyers manage to obtain his placement under house arrest in a luxurious townhouse. A new recruit, Amanda Rollins, arrives at the Special Unit to replace Stabler, still on arrest since he shot a young girl who shot and killed suspects at the police station. Benson is convinced that her teammate will return, but the others have doubts.
