The hit that took place yesterday (26/9) in Lavrio, on a money delivery vehicle which had taken a lot of money from various cooperating businesses, was well planned.
The mammoth robbery took place right next to the entrance of a toy chain store and the loot of the perpetrators reaches 1.5 million euros.
This particular store was the last on the vehicle’s route, which the perpetrators seem to have known. One employee of the remittance was inside the store and had brought some bags of money, while the second, as he should, was inside the car according to SKAI.
How did they act?
At first the robbers, who appeared in a green car, they threw paint at the vehiclespecifically a smoky color and then they threw paint on the windshield. They wore hoods, medical masks and light-colored clothing.
The robbers they left a box, which they claimed was an explosive deviceintimidating the employee that they will be able to break the window of the vehicle with the explosion.
With knives they burst all four tires of the vehicle and with the threat of a Kalashnikov they forced the employee out of the van. The employee could not stay inside the vehicle because it was not armored and one of the attackers grabbed at least 15 bags with 1.5 million euros.
Initial reports from officials indicate that they had not had time to put the money in the coloring bags, which when the money is removed with an explosion destroy it. The company, according to police sources, operated under another name in the past and had received several robberies during remittances.
