The sixth edition of the Laver Cup was scored this Sunday by the World Team with a resounding 13-2 win over Europe, with the final point achieved by Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe over Hubert Hurkacz and Andrey Rublev by 7/6 and 7/6.
The team led by John McEnroe won the tournament for the second year in a row after losing the first four, and in this edition they consecrated an Argentine: Buenos Aires native Francisco Cerúndolo.

The World Team was made up of Americans Taylor Fritz, Tiafoe, Shelton, Paul, Cerúndolo and Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime.
Each of its members brought at least one point to their team.
Team Europe, coached by the Swede Björn Borg, assisted by his compatriot Thomas Enqvist, was made up of the Polish Hubert Hurkacz, the Russian Andrey Rublev, the Norwegian Casper Ruud, the Spanish Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and the French Gael Monfils and Arthur Fils .
The Americans did not give the option of some European battle in Vancouver (Canada), where the tournament was held for the first time, and only Casper Ruud scored for those from the Old Continent.

The event, within the ATP circuit and promoted by Roger Federer who retired last year in the edition held in London, only needed one match on Sunday.
Federer was present in the stands, a year after ending his legendary career by forming doubles with the Spanish Rafa Nadal.
