Berlin. Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD) wants to spend around 60 million euros in 2023 on PR corona measures alone. He emerges from a list of achievements for the 2023 federal budget, which he reports on “Business Insider.”

There is also 2.9 billion euros to order more vaccines. According to Business Insider, the CDU parliamentary group in the Bundestag had presented opposition to both budget items, initially wanting to freeze the sum until the specific use was clear, as former chancellor Helge confirmed to Business Insider Braun (CDU). “The almost 2.9 billion euros just for the purchase of the Sars-Cov-2 vaccine is a huge sum in the budget. I therefore strongly warned that the federal government is in intense talks with the European Union to jointly sign the contracts with vaccine manufacturers to be reviewed.”
Union passed
But the Union blockade attempt was reversed with the votes of the traffic light groups. However, Lauterbach’s ministry assumes that in 2023 it will still be necessary “to inform people comprehensively about the health risks associated with Corona and to motivate them to take advantage of vaccination offers and to observe protective measures such as wearing an FFP2 mask”. Tino Sorge, spokesman for the Union’s health policy in the Bundestag, criticizes: “After three years, the population has long known what Corona is and how to protect themselves in the best possible way. Expensive advertising campaigns are no longer necessary for this.”
