Laurent Duvernay-Tardif returns to the New York Jets

Quebec soccer player Laurent Duvernay-Tardif signed a contract with the New York Jets, then returned to the team he finished for last season.

That’s what the NFL Network reported on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not specified. However, the same source said on Wednesday that the guard had met with club management to show him his skills. Furthermore, ‘LDT’ has never hidden his appreciation for the months spent with the lineup in 2021.

Duvernay-Tardif has completed his medical residency, which began on July 1. This decision had prompted him to sit out the start of the 2022 season as well as the preparatory camp. Last year, the Jets acquired him from the Kansas City Chiefs in a trade. He won the Super Bowl at the end of the 2019 calendar and then dedicated the following year to efforts to fight COVID-19 in Quebec’s healthcare network.
