Who’s the replacement? Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from Manchester United is still a puzzle. Dimitar Berbatov judge that Laurent Blanc fit to coach Man United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to leave Old Trafford after Man United were brushed by Watford 4-1 in the Premier League. Michael Carrick is currently believed to be the karteker while waiting for the management’s decision to bring in a new manager.
Many names of coaches have so far been associated with the Red Devils. Berbatov as a former Manchester United striker was tempted by the name Blanc who was also linked.
Blanc had defended MU from 2001 to 2003. The former French defender managed to taste the English League title at the end of his football career.
“Laurent Blanc is an attractive candidate. He is a former United player, who won everything, has coached PSG and France, has the respect of the players and he has the charisma and composure needed to manage United,” Berbatov told Betfair.
Blanc is currently working as coach of Al-Rayyan SC since December 2020. If MU is interested, of course there must be a ransom given to Al-Rayyan SC to bring Blanc.
So far the strong candidate is Zinedine Zidane because without a club. Names such as Erik ten Hag, Mauricio Pochettino and Brendan Rodgers are also on the market, but it is difficult because they belong to other clubs.
“It is difficult to see how he (Pochettino) can go to Old Trafford in the near future. The only solution I can see is if Zinedine Zidane goes to PSG. If he is open to it then I can see a Pochettino change coming soon,” Berbatov continued. .
“That said, there are often surprises when it comes to appointing a manager. When Jose Mourinho was sacked, who would have thought that Solskjaer would replace him and stay in charge for three years? We have been surprised in the past and may be surprised again.”
