Since she is on vacation in the United States, Laurence Auzière revealed many moments of joy spent with family on its networks. Brigitte Macron’s daughter, her companion Matthieu Graffensttaden and the latter’s three children, Emma, Alice and Thomas roam New York in a good mood. After attending an NBA game, the tribe went to the biggest museums in the Big Apple. In his Instagram story, Laurence Auzière unveiled a snapshot of her daughter Alice admiring a painting by Florine Stettheimer – titled Family Portrait II – at MoMA, the city’s museum of modern and contemporary art.
Far from being the only cultural place that the clan has visited, Laurence Auzière and his family went this Thursday, April 27 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art after exploring the city by helicopter or visiting the Guggenheim Museum. It must be said that Laurence Auzière and Matthieu Graffensttaden are used to the art world. The first is a painter in her spare time, the second full-time artist. Recognized for being at the origin of the concept of the “cellular portrait”, Matthieu Graffensttaden is often the subject of praise from his companion : “I really like what he does so I even created my Instagram account for it. I am thoroughly !” the mother of three told Gala.fr last January. “Laurence has somehow become my manager,” added his companion. Brigitte Macron’s daughter also regularly shares examples of her work in collaboration with her darling on his Instagram account.

Transmit love for art
“We have always been steeped in culture. Like all children who have teaching parents, we had the chance to see a lot of exhibitions”Laurence Auzière had declared to Gala.fr. “It was very varied. Mom took me, like many, to the Louvre Museum when I was little. I liked going to the Musée d’Orsay too, I liked the Impressionists, like the modern painters. I had a fairly developed artistic sensibility”, she added. So it’s no wonder the mum-of-three wants sharing his passion with Alice, Emma and Thomas. A point of view shared by Matthieu Graffensttaden who, too, was immersed in the artistic universe: “My mum paints and made me discover the classics, the insolence of Marcel Duchamp… I also love an artist called Gérard Schlosser. His works are powerful. He liked to paint women.”
