Rome, 14 feb. The Italian singer Laura Pausini will celebrate 30 years of her career with a marathon of free concerts that will take her to sing in New York, Madrid and Milan in just 24 hours, from the night of February 26 to February 27.
“I will perform in a theater in each city (because this is how my career began), ten songs live (a decade in each city) and a plane right after to join you for 24 hours!”, indicated the singer in a letter addressed to his fans through his social networks.
The marathon will begin at the Apollo Theater in New York on the afternoon of February 26, when in Europe it will already be the 27th, to then continue at The Music Station in Madrid and end in Milan at the Carcano Theater.
“On February 27, 1993, I was 18 years old and I won the Sanremo Festival in the new artist category with ‘La Soledad’. You chose me; you came into my life and revolutionized everything,” explained the Italian about the choice of date.
All the recitals will be open to the public, with free admission upon registration and subject to availability, his representative said in a statement.
The singer stated that she has been preparing “vocally and physically for months to succeed in this relay race.”
“For years, you have sacrificed a lot to go to my concerts and be with me and I want to show you the deep love I feel and the crazy things I am willing to do for you,” he added.
The marathon will not be the only celebration of Pausini for his three decades of uninterrupted success, since in the summer he will star in two concerts in two emblematic places: San Marcos Square in Venice on June 30 and on July 21 in the monumental square of Spain from Seville.
Pausini has sold more than 75 million copies of his eleven studio albums, as well as other compilations and collaborations, and has won a Grammy, four Latin Grammys and a Golden Globe, awards to which his recent nomination for the Oscar for the band of the film “La vita davanti a sé” (2020).
