Laura Gilmore Anderson, a health and safety consultant, has passed away following a three-year battle with an incurable cancer. Anderson was diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine tumour in her pancreas in July 2020. A fundraising campaign was started to raise money for life-saving treatment in Mexico, which raised over £400,000. Anderson was remembered as “remarkable, kind, beautiful” and someone who would “brighten every room she walked into.” Her husband Paul praised her for teaching him about true love and happiness. Anderson’s sister read a poem that spoke of her impact on those left behind, and the chief celebrant reflected on his three-decade association with Anderson and her family. A cremation service was held at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Anderson is survived by her husband, parents, siblings, mother-in-law, nieces, nephews, Chip, and a wide circle of friends.
