The laundry attendant makes a constant supply of clean linen for the hotel. He carries out all the phases of linen processing including collection, transport, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washing machines, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storage and delivery. He cleans the laundry machines and the laundry area.
The laundry attendant is responsible for washing all dirty linen, towels, napkins and tablecloths; as well as folding and ironing them. Responsible for all process line activities, including collection, transportation, separation, weighing, loading and unloading, machines, ironing, folding, storage and delivery. Keep machinery and laundry area clean.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification and / or experience in a hotel or related sector preferred.
- It must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- It has to work well in high pressure stressful situations.
- He must remain calm and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push / pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property)
- Must be able to occasionally pull laundry from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
High school diploma or equivalent and preferably with experience in the hotel sector or similar.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly.
- Perform correctly even in case of work overload.
- Maintain calm and objectivity in situations of work overload.
- Must be able to constantly push / pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally toss laundry from washer to dryer potentially weighing between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Understand the operation of washing machines and dryers.
- Wash and dry all dirty sheets, towels, rags, etc. as directed by management.
- Clean the dryer filter daily and keep all equipment trained.
- Operate the iron as per standard and make sure it is switched off at the end of the day (liability may vary by facility).
- Fold sheets / towels and store laundry carts as needed.
- Always adopt safe work habits to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues.
- Sweep and mop the laundry floors by putting all the laundry off the floor.
- Know all Aimbridge Hospitality internal policies and rules.
- Remove and sort dirty sheets and towels from laundry carts.
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
- Stock all linen closets throughout the hotel as appropriate.
- Perform other tasks / jobs assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Use washing machines and dryers correctly.
- Wash and dry all sheets, towels, dirty rags, etc. as indicated by the manager.
- Clean the dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment.
- Operate the iron correctly and be sure to switch it off at the end of the day.
- Maintain safe work habits to ensure the safety of customers and employees.
- Fold sheets / towels and clothes carts as needed
- Remove all laundry from the floor to sweep and mop the floor.
- Know all of Aimbridge’s policies and regulations.
- Remove and sort all soiled items from the laundry carts.
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
- Stock all linen closets throughout the hotel as appropriate.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
