Launching Tomorrow, Apple Prepares 30 Million iPhone SE 3 Units This Year

Selular.ID – All signs suggest the iPhone SE 3 will land soon, with a possible March 8th. The source of this latest leak Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, in a tweet he claimed that the iPhone SE 3 will enter mass production in March It seems that there are many units to be produced. Kuo claims that Apple plans to ship around 25 to 30 million units of the iPhone SE 3 this year.

That suggests Apple expects it to be even more popular than the iPhone SE (2020), which shipped 24.2 million units in its launch year according to Omdia (via WCCFTech).

So why is Apple producing more, because the main changes in this model are the addition of 5G, and the fast new A15 Bionic chipset which is also found in the iPhone 13.

Both are big upgrades, and both haven’t been heard of before, but it’s likely that 5G could be a real sales driver, as it’s probably the cheapest iPhone with 5G so far.

Incidentally, Kuo stated that the iPhone SE 3 will support mmWave and Sub-6Ghz 5G.

Which means it will be able to connect to more 5G networks and bands than if it only supported one or the other, although anywhere in the world it will get a version with support for both is unclear.

Lastly, Kuo suggested that little else would change, with the SE 3 having the same design as the current model, and coming in the same storage capacities (64GB, 128GB, and 256GB). Even the colors may be the same, with the phone apparently coming in white, black and red.

In the year Apple shipped 24.2 million iPhone SE (2020) for example, Apple also shipped 64.8 iPhone 11.

Now, the phone has the advantage of being sold all year round, rather than launching during that time, but on the other hand many people who want it will buy it the year before when it launches.

Despite that, it shipped more than twice as many units as the iPhone SE (2020), hopefully it will be a similar story with one or more iPhone 13 models.
