War-affected Ukraine turned out to be the place where Samsung launched its new phone. The long-rumored Galaxy M14 5G was suddenly and quietly released in Ukraine. This entry-level mobile phone is quite similar to the Galaxy A14 5G released in January this year, both in terms of specifications and functions. It may not be licensed in the Hong Kong market, but the previous generation Galaxy M13 is sold in parallel in Hong Kong.
Specifications are similar to A14 5G
The Galaxy M14 5G is equipped with a 6.6-inch Infinity V LCD screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,408 and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung chooses its own Exynos 1330 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage, supports up to 1TB microSD card expansion, and the phone is preloaded with Android 13 system and One UI 5 interface. All of the above are close to the European version of the Galaxy A14 5G. The difference is that the M14 5G has a built-in 6,000mAh large-capacity battery and supports 25W fast charging, while the A14 5G only has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W charging.
Selling price $2,000
In terms of shooting, the Galaxy M14 5G has a 13MP selfie lens. The back camera consists of a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth-of-field lens. The main camera can record 30fps Full HD videos. Other features include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, side fingerprint recognition, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. The 64GB and 128GB storage versions are priced at HK$1,745 and HK$1,893 respectively, and there are three body options: powder blue, dark blue and silver.
