The management of the fourth session of the Alessandria Festival has been announced for the short filmin its ninth edition, which will be held from 16 to 21 February 2023, yesterday, Friday, in its official poster.
The festival was inspired by the idea of the poster, according to its creator, Cyril Maximus, “from the origin of the Egyptian costume that the Bahri girls were known for in the past, such as the girls of the city Alexandria The sheet is worn in different parts of the city,” according to a statement from the course administration.
The statement added: “As Alexandria is the beacon of Egyptian culture and the source of nobility and originality, the sheet moved from it to spread throughout Egypt, hence the choice of the festival poster to connect the past with the present and affirm the leadership of Alexandria in spreading culture and art in the world”.
The Alexandrian girl in the poster combines, according to her perception, “between lightness and beauty, and at the same time appears strong and self-sufficient, and the design focused on the girl’s appearance with a black silk sheet like the ones girls wore in past with jade, which highlights the curves of the girl, and these curves converge with the circles. The curved lines show her beauty and femininity.
Massimo loved the coherence of colors between shadow and light, hot and cold, as sources of light for the girl in a way that relaxes the eye and shows the delicacy of the clothes and the simplicity of the colors, and his simple, joyful gaze suggests reminiscent of memories of the past.
The festival, which specializes in short films, has a large audience every year, as a “meeting point of various Arab talents for the exchange of film culture between film lovers and directors”. and the Egypt Tourism Board.
