Oppo A56s 5G has been launched in China as the company’s latest model in its A-series range. Oppo’s latest flagship appears to be an updated version of the Oppo A56 5G which was launched in October 2021 The new Oppo A56s features a 90Hz display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC while its predecessor is powered by Dimensity 700 SoC. However, some of the features of the new Oppo A56 appear to be similar to the old model. The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery and a 13MP primary rear camera.
Oppo A56s 5G price and availability
The price of the Oppo A56s 5G has been pegged at CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs. 13,322) for the 8GB + 128GB model and CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 15,748 for the 8GB + 256GB storage variant). The phone is available in black and blue color options. A56s 5G is currently available For sale in China via JD.com, the availability and price of Oppo A56s 5G in other markets including India was not disclosed.
To remind, Oppo A56 5G was launched in 2021 at CNY 1,599 (about Rs. 19,100) for the only 6GB + 128GB model.
Oppo A56s 5G phone specifications
Oppo A56s 5G dual-SIM (Nano) phone runs on Android 12 with ColorOS UI on top. The phone has a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD screen (720 x 1612 pixels) with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, paired with Mali G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 lens, vertical lens, and dual LED flash.
For selfies and video chats, the Oppo A56s 5G is equipped with an 8 MP selfie camera sensor on the front.
The connectivity options available on Oppo A56s 5G include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone offers face unlock support and a fingerprint sensor on the side. The Oppo A56s 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports standard 10W charging.
