China’s second group of Yaogan-31 remote sensing satellites were launched into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Friday at 12:47 p.m. Beijing time.

The satellites were transported by a Long March-4C rocket. This was the 359th flight mission in the Long March rocket series, according to the launch center.

Having reached their intended orbits, the satellites will be used for environmental electromagnetic studies and other relevant technological tests.

China launched the first group of Yaogan-31 remote sensing satellites in 2018.
