SIA “Latvijas Mobilais telefons” (LMT) will increase the prices of certain internet services from May 1 this year, according to the company’s public information.

For private individuals, the “Internet for the home” service will be available for 25.99 euros per month or 19.98 euros per month with a 12-month contract. “Internet for the home” in the family package is planned for 19.98 euros per month. On the other hand, “Internet for a private home” will have no change in monthly fees.
At the same time, one gigabyte (GB) of mobile internet will cost 2.99 euros per month, while 15 GB of mobile internet will cost 9.89 euros per month. Unlimited mobile internet will cost 19.99 euros per month from May 1.

On the other hand, the “Mobile Internet Starts” service will no longer be available. Instead, LMT will offer customers the opportunity to use the “Room reservation” service for EUR 1.50 per month.
For legal entities, the “Unlimited Internet+” service will be 23.99 euros per month from May or 19.99 euros per month with a 12-month contract. But unlimited internet will be 19.99 euros per month. On the other hand, 25 GB of internet will be 8.99 euros per month.
At the same time, the “Professional Internet for Business” and “Industrial Internet” services will be without changes in the monthly fee.
Likewise, the “Mobile Internet Starts” service will no longer be available for legal clients. Instead, customers will be able to use the “Room reservation” service for 1.24 euros per month.
The increase in prices is explained by the fact that LMT will supplement its Internet connections with a cyber security solution to protect customers from increasing threats in the public space.
The solution will be installed and updated automatically.
The cyber security solution will protect against malware and other cyber attacks, warn about infected links, fraudulent and fake websites, as well as protect when using apps and communication tools.
It has already been announced that the turnover of the LMT group last year, according to preliminary data, increased by 6.9%, reaching 311.8 million euros.
On the other hand, in 2022, the turnover of the LMT concern was 290.872 million euros, while the profit of the group was 31.867 million euros.
49% of the capital of LMT belongs to the Swedish “Telia Company” and its subsidiary “Sonera Holding”, 23% of the shares belong to SIA “Tet” and the Latvian State Radio and Television Center, and 5% to SIA “Public assets manager “Possessor””.
