In the ‍penultimate ​week (week 51), South Korean pop ⁢sensation ‍Jimin‘s single⁢ “who” ​reigned supreme. Classic holiday hits followed closely behind, with ⁣Wham!’s “Last Christmas” securing second place and Mariah Carey’s “All⁢ I Want for Christmas Is You” claiming third. This​ reflects a global trend of holiday music popularity, mirroring similar charts in the US and beyond.

Though,⁤ the Latvian‌ charts also showcased local talent. ‍ The collaboration⁤ between the group Bermudu Divstūris and Intar busuli, “Flamingo,” made a strong debut, entering the ⁣top ⁤20 at number ‍five. Greta and Wiesul’s “Vai ne” also charted at number 19, demonstrating the ‌growing popularity of Latvian ⁤artists on the⁤ international stage. Brenda Lee’s rock and roll era Christmas⁣ classic, “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” released in 1958, surprisingly snagged second ⁣place, highlighting the⁤ timeless nature of some holiday favorites. Wham!’s “Last⁣ Christmas” remained a consistent contender, holding onto third place. The only Latvian single⁣ to crack ​the top 20 was “Flamingo” by Bermudu ⁣Divstūris and Intar Busuli, landing ⁤at number 11.

Focusing​ solely on Latvian ⁣singles, “Piparkūkas‌ danco” by Knīpas un knauķi ‍took second place in⁣ week 52,⁢ though​ it only reached number 37 on the overall chart.
