Latvia’s young indoor footballers tried to play an active role in taking the ball. France took the lead after the standard situation in the 4th minute, after which Latvia took the initiative and took a number of dangerous shots, including from a very close distance, but the ball did not find a narrow path in the net. Dangerous counterattacks, deprived balls, standard situations, individual raids – in all ways Latvia was able to hit in dangerous situations, but often the ball got stuck in the thicket of the opposing players or flew into the goal. France, on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The scoreboard was 4: 0 in favor of France. In the first minute of the second half, Andžejs Mickēvičs intercepted the ball on the opponent’s side and sent it to the goal, reaching 1: 4. As you know, in the opening of the tournament, the team led by Artūrs Šketovs first beat Belgium 3: 1 on Wednesday and beat San Marino out of competition and older players 3: 2 on Thursday. On Sunday, our young people will join forces with Slovenia. The fate of the second place will be determined in this duel. A. Šketov has invited fourteen players to the test tournament in Croatia. The largest representation is from FC “Raba”, which is represented in the team by four players. There are three indoor footballers in the team from TFK “Rēzekne”, FK “Nikars” and SK “Kengaroos”. In March, the team is expected to take part in the European Qualifying Round, which will have to compete with peers from Croatia, Belarus and Azerbaijan.
